PT ABRG Indonesia has been granted a license to operate the first privately owned Precious Metals Refinery in Indonesia.
The Indonesian Government Foreign Direct Investment Ministry, the BKPM, issued the authorisation recently to enable ABRG to establish a pilot refinery project ahead of plans to establish up to twelve full gold, silver, platinum, and palladium refineries throughout the archipelago.
“We are truly honoured to be the first privately owned company in Indonesia to receive the Principal Business License for smelting and refining of precious metals” said PT ABRG Indonesia’s President Director, Patrick Harvey.
“Our research with the University of Indonesia Department of Metallurgy and our collaboration with PT Aneka Tambang;s Logam Mulia can open up a new exciting industry with the promise of strong growth for Indonesia. This is the vision that was set out in the New Mining Law by the Indonesian Government in 2009 and so we plan to be the first to fully capitalise on their vision”
